Lydie is a fictional character played by
visuals at
newdawn_rpg. any relation to any persons real or not is completely coincidental.
Lydie Collins is a 22 year old freelance artist. Her birthdate is February 22. She had just gotten her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art from NYU when she opened up a small gallery. She met her husband Robert at the age of 18, and he helped her open and run her gallery. She was always willing to showcase local artist's works and get their names out in the world, as her personal dream was to be a world renowned artist herself. Her gallery was open for a couple of months when the plague hit her family.
As Fate's Handmaiden spread, her patrons became fewer and fewer, and soon she was forced to close the gallery. Often, she would be seen through the windows, sitting on the floor and looking at the numerous paintings and other pieces of art on the walls and sculptures on the main floor. Depression overcame her, and she went from a rather healthy young woman, to nearly a skeleton. Her hair, which is normally shiny and healthy and soft, became scraggly and tangled. And her eyes seem dim and she looks rather tired.
She had fallen asleep on her gallery floor, and awoke in a deserted road in the middle of nowhere. The first thing she noticed was a change in temperature, and assumed that she was south of New York, but there was nothing in the general vicinity to detemine anything for sure. While searching for civilization of any kind, or a single companion to start, she finds what she can to eat and drink as she continues on, taking shelter anywhere available at night.
Lydie often wonders how she survived the epidemic and no one close to her did. Now, she has decided instead of wallowing in sorrow and loathing fate, that she will help rebuild the world that fell apart from the knowledge she has. She may not know exactly where she is, but she will do what she can to the best of her abilities. There is a reason she's alive, and she's going to make the most of it.
Her strengths include her imagination, determination, and general love for people. She has compassion for others and likes to see people happy.
But strengths come with weaknesses, and Lydie's include the fact she is a perfectionist. She suffers from manic-depression and panic attacks, not because of the epidemic, she was diagnosed with both at 15. She deals with both fairly well, but is prone to episodes without warning. She is quick to jump to conclusions, and usually it's to the worst case scenario.
She is a sucker for romance. And though it's painful for her to be a widow so young, she still believes in love conquering all. Perhaps she will find someone to love her like Robert had, and perhaps she won't. Lydie is a dreamer, and always will be, and that's probably the biggest driving force in her life.
Lydie has long, wavy platinum blonde hair, though not as beautiful as it has been in the past. She treasures her hair and refuses to cut it. Not having a hair brush, she's used her fingers to keep it from being impossibly tangled. Her eyes are naturally a deep sapphire blue.
(Anything else you would like to know about Lydie please ask. I apologize if this bio is all over the place or anything of that sort. I have been rather out of it and ill lately and it's compromised my thought process lol)
